JVAS is committed to maintaining a permanent scholarly record of articles published in the journal.
Published articles are maintained in the JVAS online archive, which provides access to the journal's published volumes and issues. The journal website currently maintains an archive organised by volume and issue.
Published articles are assigned DOI identifiers. JVAS articles currently carry DOI identifiers using the journal's DOI prefix 10.51966, for example, articles published in recent volumes.
The DOI should be included in citations wherever available.
The journal shall make reasonable efforts to preserve:
· the final published article;
· bibliographic metadata;
· DOI information;
· volume and issue information; and
· associated publication records.
Any future participation in recognised long-term digital preservation services or repositories may be incorporated into this policy as appropriate.
